Hey everybody!
I love the cold weather! It helps me be motivated to think about Christmas, and that's what this post is about.
We are going to be hosting the first ever VanLue Homegroup Christmas Party at our home on Wednesday, December 17th at 7 pm.
We will be enjoying heavy appetizers and desserts, and this year we will be doing a gift exchange. You will each be drawing someone's name from our group (girls with girls, guys with guys), and the idea is to spend $5-10 and buy something that either represents that person, represents your friendship, reminds you of them, tells a story about that person, or will just bless them. And, if you don't know the person very well, you will have a month to get to know them a little bit better, as we will be drawing names this week at homegroup. Also, this is a great way to bless that person by spending the next month praying for them.
Oh, and no telling whose name you drew!
More details to come as the date gets closer...

I am so sorry Debi and I will miss the Christmas party. We will be "working" in the Turks and Caicos Islands. I will have the car (I mean gift) delivered for the person whose name I picked in the drawing.
Merry Christmas,
Tom
